I can’t figure out Hawaii Night has anything to do with hashing neither does it have anything to do with the national independent day which is on the 31st of August. Anyway, when GM cocker wanted a party, Hawaii Night became an excuse and with the natural party organizer like On Sex Chickadee, the MH3 Hawaii Night was an instant success.
On 1st September 2007 ( Saturday ), MH3 had a Saturday night fever function entitled Hawaii Night which was held at Rotunda of the Malacca Club at Tanjung Kiling.
The food was excellent and the beer free flowing with the music performed none other than our own MH3’s Band, “The Band Boys “, we danced through the whole night and the free flowing beer had almost drowned most of us, a truly drinking club with no running problem at this occasion. Thomas Lim, the famous Grand Master of the Melaka roasted lamb caterer personally appeared to give a finishing touch for the roasted lamb.
Hawaii dress code was observed. Those who had violated the rule were heavily penalized with the usual on down hash style. Loud music, laughter broke the usual silent night of Rotunda.
I left the party at about 11 something PM with the Saturday night fever seemed to continue forever.
With a mere RM20 for such entertainment and food, It was almost impossible in this highly inflated world and rumor had said that the oil man Denis the Menace was a major sponsor; A big “Thank You “to the organizers and the sponsors!
