Most hashers had a difficult task of finding the
runsite. The Hare was not able to lay the run and our new GM Garfield
had to do a relief to ensure that there is a run. Most did not expect it to
be at the new Hang Jebat Stadium and I heard that some pissed off
hashers went home as the failed to find the site. I also had quite a time trying
to locate the runsite and was lucky to spot the MH3 sign which I did not expect
at all. Well, so much for hashing mismanagement that happens once in a
while.
The hashers had already started the run when I
arrived and it started to drizzle a little. Went in alone sluggishly through the
farms and then later into oil palm territory, all the while able to see the
stadium from a far. Looks like the GM is playing it safe, keeping the run simple
and short. Most of the current hashers are getting way past their
prime and it is wise not to have long "killer" runs. Hashers can all start the
run together at 6 pm without fear of getting left behind, lost and maybe get
eaten by pythons or tigers too. .. read more... hashing mishap..
Circle at the runsite, GM Garfield made some
announcements on the need to increase monthy club subscription as the club
cannot go on subsidising the increase in beer cost. Vijay was the first to
experience the cost cutting measures, being given water instead of beer for the
misdemeanor down-down.
The On-On at Siang Yen with 3 tables. There
were beer sponsors for the down-downs and all had a good time. The best part was
when GM announced that the food is on him. Thank you GM for doing the
run.
