Scribe for Run 1493 On 5th August last at Bukit Lintang

There were no signs to indicate the direction to the run site where everybody had to guess to reach basing on the word " Bukit Lintang". Luckily the locals knew the place or luckily we had the new technology called " mobile phone".
Anyway the weather was very fine and cool, a pack of 40 hashers was ready for the run on time at Bukit Lintang. The warm up exercise was conducted by G.M.and after that 'On On ' was called. Zoom!, the pack started to enter the oil palm estate opposite the run site. It was a nice clean laterite road all along until we reached a big drain where everybody had to cross over a piece of wooden and shaky plank. It was a good stretch of laterite road and tarred road combined most of the time through oil palm estate, empty land, along a river, crossing wooden bridges, kampung houses, and the scenery was spectacular, the run was the most enjoyable if you were the one who liked road running. It was a good standard run, and it took a fast runner to complete in an hour or so,and by 7.30pm everybody was out and we had a good time for the hash socialization and hash circle.

Verdict: The run was well set, and it was a good one and should be considered as a standard. Running is only part of the event, and socialization and the enjoyment of the golden liquid is also part of the game as specified in the objectives of the hashing charter as follows:-
1. To promote physical fitness among members.
2. To acquire a good thirst and to satisfy it in beer.

We learnt that the run was actually set by co-hare Tony Teh, Good on you !Tony.
