Congratulations! We are still alive and well after finishing the 10 km Annual Road Run 2003.

It is a tradition for Malacca Hash House Harriers to organize this 10 km road run annually to encourage a little bit of serious running among members. This track was fixed and charted for a 10.5 km distance as nothing was unusual, the disorganized group could never be able to measure it correctly.

At 6.00 pm, the weather was fine and cool, and about 50 hashers already gathered at the entrance of of the lane leading to the Scouts Camp. After a photo snap, the group started to run, but only 14 managed to complete the distance with the first runner clocking at 59' 30" and the last one 1 hr 30', further confirming that what we are as what we say, " A Drinking Club with a Running Problem ".

The first runner was none other than our lovely harriet Lynn Holland, followed by harrier Pak Sek Kok and harrier Tim Sherbou. The last runner who completed the run was Dr Dave who clocked in a time of 1 hr 30'. Well done, Doc, never say die!

Hash circle was formed and quite a number of hashers was disciplined by " On Down" cum " Sitting on ice" with whatever reasons the Grandmaster could think of, ranging from the visitors, virgin hasher, to veteran members. The ritual was over at about 8.00 pm.

"On on" was held at Lu Yeh Chinese restaurant near the Chinese temple at Jalan Bunga Raya, the response was good as five tables were fully occupied. "Bombastic" contributed some beer as he recently became a father of a lovely baby girl. the "On Down" ritual continued and near 11 pm then the party was called off. The food bill was completely footed by the club.
