Hare: Christian members
It was raining a whole day long but that did not deter the ardent hashers to participate this once a year X’mas celebration run organized by our Christian members. The run site was chosen at Hutan Rekreasi, Ayer Keroh. Not some place new, but it was a long time that members had not been running around in this area.
I reached the run site at about 5.30 pm and had ample time to socialize a bit; Kiasu was playing with monkeys, appreciating his lineage and Swing was wriggling her short skirt after helping cocker laying the papers, and Denis the Menace and his other half looked happy and ever younger after their holidays in Texas. The warm up exercise was called up and the pack soon started to dash along the little tarred lane leading to the inside of the Hutan Rekreasi, the run covered a virgin forest and going round the perimeter of the National Service center of Melaka; sliding down a deep slope away from the N S center crossing a stream and passed through a suspension bridge. Then T shirts were distributed to the runners who made it at ¾ of the trail. It was a reasonable run and the pack returned to the run site about an hour or so. It started to pour again, but a canopy served a good shelter for the GM to conduct the hash circle. As usual, all the sinners were put on ice.
On On was at the Good World Restaurant at Melaka Raya. GM and the organizing had a well thought off program and the pack was entertained with laughter and joy. Generous prizes were given out, and the food and drinks were on the house as contributed by the Christian members. We all had a good and enjoyable evening and a big thank you to the contributing Christian members. The party was over at about 10.30pm.
