Scribe For Wong Sing Sung's Run No:1552
Scribe by Websitekang
It was raining, but the rain did not stop the 30 hardcore hashers to come to our Master of Backpacking, Wong Sing Sung's run at
Ayer Salah. Luckily the rain stopped by the time we reached the run site. The run site was at the usual place in front of a row
of shop houses. After the usual warm up exercise, the pack led by the GM started to enter the laterite road at the left.
We soon entered into a rubber plantation but emerged out quickly to a kampung area. We were lost for quite a while as the papers
seemed to disappear possibly the kampung children had picked them away. "on on " someone had shouted and off we followed where
the sound came from. There were two checks for this run and a false tail but most of the time we were on the laterite and tarred
road run which I did not have any complaints. I like road run. We did come across the vegetable farms, and the villages and finally
we came out to the road where the church was. I always like this stretch of road, and seem to run well with god blessing.
It took me an hour or so to complete and the runners soon returned as the run was actually quite a comfortable one.
The hash circle began with the agenda mostly on the compliments and congratulations of the success of the 5th Nash Hash. The
key guys of the Malacca Full Moon HHH actually have dual membership with the MH3, so most of the people involved with the Nash
Hash were put on ice, and the excitement was carried on even to the Gold Coast Restaurant where three tables were fully occupied.
GM Balan, the chief in organzing the Pulau Besar Run, said the P B Run was the most favorite choice by the Nash hash participants and
the 150 tickets were first sold out quickly. He said more than 10 people even chartered their own boat at Umbai
pier just to be with the pack. The MH3 did well for this one. Au Kait and Visva told the story of their tears and laughters in
making this event a success, and the Barison Hash Chapters in Melaka helped. In fact, the 5th Nash Hash was a total success, and congratulations to them and their team. The
report and photos about the event which appeared in our website also received compliments from the participants. The event ended
at 2.00 pm on Sunday and by Midnight of the same day, everything about the three days' event was out in the world wide web. Au
Kait commented that that was the world's fastest publishing speed.
The hare footed 60% of the bill for the food and 2 bottles of beer for each table, thanks to the generosity of the hare. The
cohare was Lee Seng fatt.
Verdict: The run was comfortable and we all enjoyed the evening.
