It was Orang-Utan H3 responsibility to host this run and Hutan Percha
was the obvious choice of location as hutan(jungle) is the natural
habitat of us(primates). 200 hashers participate this Run and it was a great
success.

I arrived at 2.00 pm to find our Roasted Pork Towkay Low busy slicing cucumber. He had a daunting task of chopping, slicing, packing polystrene boxes with roasted pork garnished with cucumber. Few minutes later Hawai Goh and company brought in more bites(fried tafu) and our Treasurer Benson drove up with his car full of water-melons. Some early birds had a chance their fill their bellies with late lunch. The hares Dragon Lim, Peter Looi and company made their presence to helped out in the preparations.

On On was called by the GM James Bong and the pack took off along the dirt track which provided a good warm-up jog/walk before going into rubber. The trail now was zig-zagging as a typical Bhai trail , but the fallen barb wire fence entrapped 2 victims with scratch injuries. We weaved our way through the rubber trees to disappear into a low lying catchment area and then up into immature oilpalm. Wadding our way through the palm fronds, it reminded me of the unfortunate incident where a (Melaka) Batang hasherlost his eye being pricked by a palm frond leaf a year ago. So hashers please take care, wear safety glasses, helmet when you run and follow the example set by Malacca Hash Webmaster TTKang.

The hares then lead us into mature oilpalm to the 1st check. Paper was found on the left in mature rubber then leading the pack to a Papaya farm , then swaying left into rubber again to the 2nd Check on the top of a hill. Paper could be spotted for miles and this was easly cleared. Just round the corner the hares were waiting to separate the real runners on to the long trail and then direct the behind to the shorter trail. It rained cats and dogs at this stage and the going was slippery. Most hashers and harriets hit the muddy patch of trail attempting to stay upright, leaning, overcompensating, leaning again, slowly losing their center of balance, and finally 'bum'. Back into immature oil palm the short and long trails met and it was plain sailing along the estate road which connected with the initial track and we were back to the runsite.

Really good cold Tiger beers were popped by none other then Mr.Kok, Sales Manger of Guinness Anchor and it was a pleasure being served by a VIP.

As for the Hash Circle well the pictures are better than the words.
